Mosaics have been a popular artform for thousands of years, and now stained glass mosaics are the hot new thing! It's a rewarding hobby that anyone can do year round, indoors or out. If you're thinking of starting a tiling project, this guide will take you from the planning stages all the way through to the final product! 1.  Pick a surface:

  • Indoor - Plywood for wall hangings, vases, pots, backsplashes, wooden boxes, an old table - pretty much anything except the kids or dog.

  • Outdoor - Cement stepping stones or a cement bench, terracotta pots, cement board for wall hangings, or your car if you don't mind the "eccentric" look. (ha ha!) Avoid anything that will absorb outdoor humidity and warp over time.
